To Be Self-Confident and Successful Do 9 Things
When it comes to success there's nothing more important than discipline and self-confidence

The two traits are interdependent, and every successful story begins with a person that believed in themselves.
The problem we have been obsessed with for several decades with the idea that building everyone’s self-esteem is advantageous. In the process, we cultivate a belief system based on the presumption that everyone is special, and we can do anything we set off to accomplish.
In the process, we create an environment for overestimation of individual talent, skill, determination, and commitment.
When society encourages people to rush off and pursue their dreams, and charge ahead with their entrepreneurial ambitions, they fortify the unrealistic expectations that coincide with false confidence.
Propping up everyone’s self-worth is often contingent upon validating potential without examining the probability of success based on evidence, preparation, determination, stamina, and resolve.
In addition, some members of society are determined to change the complexion of adversity, personal struggle, and obstacles by offering easy explanations for why some people succeed and others don’t.
It’s the equivalent of selling diet pills or Lippo Suction as an alternative to a healthy lifestyle that requires discipline, hard work and daily commitment.
We are getting soft and in the process of alleviating everyone’s “hurt feelings”, we are creating a generation of young people that lack the ability to do anything difficult in favor of making excuses because the odds are stacked against them. That’s not how you prepare anyone for the challenge of starting a business or making an impact on the world.
Life is hard and achieving great success is even harder.
Buy into the vernacular of false confidence and we gravitate in the direction of over placement of our abilities, knowledge, aptitude, and expectations.
To avoid falling into the trap of rhetorical self-esteem, we need to immolate the actions of people with self confidence that have been earned, cultivated, and practiced.
TO BE SELF-CONFIDENT AND SUCCESSFUL DO 9 THINGS:
01. SEIZE CONTROL

The first step to build genuine self-confidence is to take control! Stop making excuses and listening to the rhetoric of limitation offered by academics and political idealogues. Choose to be successful and do the work required to build self-esteem through accomplishment and achievement. Each success reinforces our self-confidence.
02. NEVER SURRENDER
Confident people never surrender because they encounter an impasse, they adjust and keep moving forward. Obstacles are an opportunity to grow, and each mistake is an opportunity to learn. Confident people focus on solutions not the impediment.

03. ACTION
Most people wait around hoping opportunity will fall into their lap or believe a fancy degree will ensure success. Successful people act and don’t waste time initiating good ideas and doing the intelligent work of building a successful future. Waiting for the perfect time or permission will ensure we never move forward and overcome fear, hesitation, and ideal circumstances.
04. EARN IT
Self-confident people earn attention, praise, and accolades, they don’t waste time being a victim or perfecting the grand performance of success on social media. At the same time, they don’t crave attention and waste time seeking it. They are always focused on earning every inch of their success.
05. FALSE ACCOLADES
There’s nothing more nauseating than people that constantly need to hear how wonderful they are. Successful people with true self-confidence don’t thrive on praise and recognition. It’s nice to have but not required for people that develop self-confidence. Seeking validation is narcissism, building self confidence is hard work.
06. PUNCTUAL
Successful people with self-confidence don’t procrastinate. They have learned to concur the temptation of “putting things off” and realize the importance of being punctual. Dreams can’t wait and they understand the importance of making full use of everyday in favor of waiting for “perfect timing”.

07. DON'T COMPARE
Self-confident people don’t waste time waging war on social media with everyone that disagrees with their politics or attack people that don’t measure up to their high expectations. They are busy building a better future and don’t waste time making social comparisons or criticizing the competition.
08. FAIRNESS
Self-confidence requires reconciling with the idea of “fairness”. Life isn’t fair and people that wait around for the playing field to get even are wasting time. I hear people all the time complain about how they didn’t get financing for their business because their “this” or “that”. Spare me. The banks and private investors didn’t take a chance on me either. Oh well, I went ahead anyway and borrowed from my credit card to bankroll my dream. Best investment ever and a great step toward building self-confidence.
09. UNCOMFORTABLE
Building confidence demands being uncomfortable and doing the things most people refuse to do to have the life most people will never enjoy. Everyday and step outside my comfort zone and it starts by getting up at 3:30 am, even on the weekends. Self confidence is gained outside our comfort zone.
